The UK traffic rules are focused on Humans only, would drinking in these cars be legal?
When drivers would be removed from the cars, you would see many things changing on the UK roads. In the UK, you would not see any P or L sign on the cars and there will be no driving license tests at all. Simply say the destination and the car engine will take you there. Driverless cars would be intelligent enough to understand the driving patterns and destinations, these cars would take you to anywhere where you wish to go. Sounds good?
You do not need to understand road signs and traffic rules because the car you are using knows everything at its best. The computer system in the driverless car is intelligent and swift enough to read the signs and detect the speed cameras and road speed limits even before reaching the point. Apart from all these things, how these vehicles would comply with the UK traffic rules and how traffic officers will face these cars. Because they won’t be able to issue a ticket to a driverless car. The UK government has spent billions of pounds on the speed cameras and traffic enforcement cameras and installed on the motorways and other main roads. How this investment would be useful when these cars will remain on the road. These cars would not breach the speed limits and will never pass the limits. These cars will be 100 per cent environment-friendly as well because of zero emissions. The Central London emission and congestion zone would become ineffective with the driverless cars.
The situation in the UK
In several public places in the UK, the government has started experimenting with the driverless cars, where London Heathrow airport is the one using driverless cars to serve the passengers. The UK is making up the mind of the public to shift on this driverless mobility. As they have announced the end of all kind of conventional vehicles by 2040. This means that in next 20 years, everything would be changed on the UK roads.
The UK has finally decided to adopt the most modern technologies of mobility with driverless vehicles, however, what if the vehicles and transportation laws most often usually are not compatible with the most modern technologies, the local police might not be equipped to determine the user license of the driver.
